Chairman: See Address Below for Information
Secretary: See Address Below for Information
Notes:
The Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria was established as an autonomous professional transport body in 1981. However, it remains an affiliate of the Institute in the United Kingdom. As such it is represented at the UK Annual National Conference. Moreover, on occasion, representatives from Nigeria address the UK National Council on matters of mutual interest.
IoTA membership within Nigeria has grown steadily and now exceeds 3000. There are Centres in Lagos, Port-Harcourt, Kaduna, Warri, Owerri, Aba and Ibadan. The Institute is a member of the Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) – an ‘umbrella’ body of all recognised professional organisations. IoTA represents the views of the transport sector in APEN.
In recent years, the Institute of Transport Administration of Nigeria has developed a wide range of examinations in Transport Management and Administration. These are recognised by the Federal Ministry of Education and by Federal/State Ministries of Transport and Aviation.
