Education and Training Update
It has been an hectic period since National Council in September. There are a number of projects that have been completed and there are also a number under development. When approved, the Certificate programmes will give exemption from the need to sit OCR CPC examinations. Training providers are being invited to register for these programmes.

Completed and Ongoing Projects
Driver CPC – level 2 – We are now registered as a Consortium. Rules for membership have been drawn up by Finance &General Purposes committee. Completed.
Training providers have been invited to join the consortium. Ongoing.

Core courses are being developed with other courses to be developed. Ongoing

National Certificate in Transport Management – Road Haulage Operations – level three. This programme has been completely re-written, Learning Objectives and Assessment Criteria drawn up. It has been forwarded to DfT for approval.
International Certificate in Transport Management – Road Haulage Operations – level three. This programme has been completed including Learning Objectives and Assessment Criteria. It has been forwarded to DfT for approval.
Certificate in Transport Management – Road Haulage Operations (Post 2012) - level three. This programme has been developed in anticipation of changes to current CPC requirements.
Centre Administrative Guide – For training providers offering Certificate in Transport Management.
National Certificate in Transport Management - Passenger Transport Operations – Learning Objectives and Assessment Criteria.

Case Studies for Final Assessment National Certificate in Transport Management – Passenger Transport Operations. Ongoing.
Fleet Operators Accreditation Scheme for Road Haulage and Passenger Transport Operations
Continual Development Programme
Train the trainer programme including learning objectives and assessment criteria.
Certificate in Transport Administration – level two. For both road haulage and passenger transport including learning objectives and assessment criteria.
Future
Certificate in Transport Management – Passenger Transport Operations (Post 2012) – level three. Including learning objectives and assessment criteria.
Diploma in Transport Management – level 4. For both road haulage and passenger transport operations.
Courses for other modes of transport will be developed and contacts made with Higher Education Establishments with a view to offering integrated courses including those at level five and and six.
