Belgium traffic disruption – Antwerp

Major disruption is expected on the R1 ring road in Antwerp in both directions during the autumn break and from 7th – 12th November 2025.

East – West traffic (Hasselt to Ghent) should travel via Brussels between 27th to 31st October and 8th to 11th November.

Traffic from A12 North and E19 North towards Ghent should use the R2 and Liefkenshoek Tunnel which will be toll free on:

8th November – Saturday – 08:00 – 20:00

9th November – Sunday – 08:00 – 20:00

10th November – Monday: 06:00 – 22:00

11th November – Tuesday: 08:00 – 20:00

Drivers are urged to follow variable message signs (VMS) and plan accordingly.
