1 Jul 2026

Cambridge South railway station is now open, making it quicker and easier to reach the Cambridge Biomedical Campus and destinations across the city.

With direct services from London King's Cross railway station, Cambridge South is just one stop before Cambridge, with journeys taking as little as 45 minutes.

Up to nine trains per hour will serve Cambridge South, operated by Great Northern, Thameslink, Greater Anglia and CrossCountry, connecting customers with destinations including London Liverpool Street station, Brighton, Gatwick Airport, Stansted Airport, and Birmingham New Street railway station.

The station is designed with accessibility and sustainability in mind, including a green roof with solar panels and landscaped outdoor spaces.
