Changes to the Package Travel Regulations

The Government has released its response to the “Package travel – updating the framework” consultation.

•            Domestic-only packages without travel will not be exempted from Package Travel Regulations

•            Rules for Linked Travel Arrangements (LTAs) have been simplified, and organisers now have stronger

               rights to redress against suppliers

•            “Type A” LTAs are now classified as full packages

•            “Type B” LTAs are abolished, reducing risk for SMEs

•            Bonded Coach Holidays continue to offer a cost-effective way to fulfil package travel legal                                        requirements
