Climate Change Risk Assessments for Operators

18 Dec 2023

Transport operators need to evaluate the impact of climate change on their network and operations and consider potential damage or disruption. Organisations need the proper tools, guidance, and knowledge to evaluate climate risks.

The Department for Transport (DfT) commissioned Arup to study how the transport sector assesses climate risks. This included:

  • identifying and reviewing tool mechanisms and guidance for organisations
  • gathering feedback from transport stakeholders on their needs
  • recommending how DfT can help the transport sector better assess climate risks
