The importance of Bus Open Data

The Department for Transport has asked the traffic commissioners to share the attached letter regarding the requirements of Bus Open Data for local bus services operated in England.

 

It is important that local bus operators understand their legal obligations and take steps to ensure full compliance. The letter contains helpful advice to clarify those obligations and contact addresses within the Department for Transport where advice can be accessed.

 

The traffic commissioners look forward to the successful implementation of Bus Open Data and the benefits that it will bring to the to the industry and service users.
