DPTAC working groups

17 Jun 2025

Disabled Persons Transport Advisory Committee (DPTAC) working group remits, membership and meeting summaries.

The role of the DPTAC working groups is to discuss the development of transport policies, and the delivery of those policies with DfT officials. The groups help to formulate DPTAC’s advice.

DPTAC’s 5 working groups feed into a coordination group. The coordination group and the individual groups all feed into the main DPTAC committee.

DPTAC members and working groups provide advice to the department in a structured way.

  1. An initial meeting will take place to discuss a policy issue, DPTAC will formulate formal advice on the issue.
  2. DPTAC provides further advice if a policy develops or changes. In this case, a review meeting will take place and updated advice will be provided.
