DVSA Industrial Action affecting some vehicle services during May and June 2023

20 Apr 2023

The Prospect Union has announced that its members have been asked to take national strike action on 10 May and 7 June. You can find the latest information on our dedicated page on GOV.UK.

This is likely to affect some of DVSA’s vehicle services, including some vehicle approval examinations.

Not all DVSA staff are Prospect members, and even if they are, they might choose not to take part in the action. So, we will not know which staff are participating until the action takes place.

Vehicle approval appointments

Please continue to attend your booking as planned.

If your approval examination does not go ahead, DVSA will automatically rebook the appointment. You do not need to contact us.

Keeping checking for updates

You can find the latest information about how DVSA services are affected on our dedicated page https://www.gov.uk/government/news/vehicle-tester-and-traffic-examiner-strike-april-2023 .

Please also keep checking your emails.
