Home and workplace EV charge point grant increased

3 Mar 2026

The Government is increasing grants for workplace and home chargers from £350 to up to £500 from April 1.

The uplift will cover almost half the cost of a typical charge point installation until March 2027.

The Department for Transport (DfT) has also simplified the current EV charge point support schemes available by reducing eight grant types down to five, so people can navigate and select schemes and discounts more easily.
