LAID TO REST IN FITTING STYLE !

17 Apr 2026

Iota President, Alan Whittington, who sadly passed away in December 2025 was laid to rest at the Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway.

Alan, a much respected transport consultant and specialist in all things transport from road to rail, air and sea, wished to be beside his beloved railway he had supported as a shareholder since 1970s.

His wish was carried out in early April 2026.  He was accompanied on his final journey by his partner, Rena and those closest to him in a poignant ceremony which included an engine memorial whistle by the railway company.

Alan will be remembered and is much missed by the transport industry.

Rest in Peace
