Open letter calls for fair competition within European bus tenders

Solaris, VDL Bus & Coach, Hess and Beulas have asked the European Commission to give European bus makers stronger protection in public transport contracts.
They say non-European companies, especially Chinese manufacturers, now have over 30% of the market and receive state support that gives them an unfair advantage. The companies want the EU to add a “Made in Europe” rule for publicly funded tenders and to support the long-term strength of Europe’s bus manufacturing industry.
