QUARANTINE SHUTTLE SERVICES - EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST

12 Feb 2021

From 15 February UK residents and Irish nationals arriving from certain 'red list' countries will have to quarantine in mandatory isolation facilities for 10 days.

The mandatory isolation facilities will generally be hosted in Hotels close to the airports where flights from these countries will arrive.

Depending on capacity and demand some passengers may need to be transported to Hotels further away from the airport they fly in.

to

The airports are:

1) Heathrow

2) Gatwick

3) London City

4) Birmingham

5) Bristol

6) Manchester

7) Farnborough

8) Edinburgh

9) Glasgow

10) Aberdeen

It is understood that the Crown Commercial Service will soon begin requesting expressions of interest from Coach operators located in the vicinity of these airports to provide shuttle services to move affected passengers from the Airport to a Hotel, and potentially to return them to the Airport at the end of their period of mandatory isolation.

The exact requirements operators must meet have not yet been finalised, but CPT are continuing dialogue with Government.
