Drivers’ hours and tachographs 2025: goods vehicle amendment synopsis as follows:
New regulations came into force on Monday 21 April which changed the drivers’ hours rules for HGV operators.
Introduction
• EU rules for drivers' hours have been replaced with assimilated rules for drivers' hours.
1. Assimilated and AETR rules on drivers’ hours

2. Great Britain domestic rules on drivers' hours

3. Mixed assimilated or AETR and Great Britain domestic driving

• Added information to 'Overview' on which vehicles need to have a smart 2 tachograph fitted.
