New regulations came into force on Monday 21 April which changed the drivers’ hours rules for PSV operators.
Drivers’ hours and tachographs 2025: buses and coaches amendment synopsis as follows:
Introduction
• EU rules for drivers' hours have been replaced with assimilated rules for drivers' hours.
• Clarified that all international journeys are on AETR.
• Clarified that journeys from the UK to non-EU countries and journeys from non-EU countries to the UK are on AETR.
• Updated the list of EU and non-EU countries.
1. Assimilated and AETR rules on drivers’ hours
