Traffic Commissioner Guidance Updated

4 Mar 2024

The Traffic Commissioners continue to develop the information and guidance that is provided to help businesses be compliant.

With the support of the trade associations and others, the Traffic Commissioners are now releasing an updated version of the Guide to Local Bus Service Registration which is available on GOV.UK.

Other guidance that we have updated in the last 12 months, includes the Goods vehicle operator licensing guide and the Public service vehicle operator licensing guide.

We recognise that finding some documents can be difficult, so we have also placed links to all relevant guidance in one easy to find document on GOV.UK: Key Traffic Commissioner Resources.

This document collection is also where users should go to find the forms currently in use for local bus service and permit applications.

Guidance and forms issued for use by the public are available in Welsh by clicking the 'Cymraeg' toggle at the top right of the page.
