Trailer “Consent to Supply” - New requirements

From 1 January 2023, the types of approval needed to obtain a consent to supply a trailer into service will change.

What has changed

To obtain a consent to be supplied in Great Britain, a trailer with a date of manufacture from 1 January 2023 will require either:

•            a GB approval

•            a Provisional GB approval

How to apply

You can apply for permission to supply a large goods vehicle trailer for use on the road on GOV.UK. The application form has been updated and we will not accept older versions of this document.
