URGENT DATA REQUIRED - CPT are calling for information from ALL operators.

7 Sep 2020

Urgent Data Required

CPT are calling for information from ALL operators.

Dear Member,

Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State for Sport, Heritage and Tourism, Nigel Huddleston, has requested sight of CPT Scotland's "Aid to Trade" proposal following a recent meeting with the Scottish Cabinet Secretary for Rural Economy and Tourism, Fergus Ewing.

The proposal seeks support for operators’ fixed costs that are unrelated to finance or furlough. This support would reduce commercial break-even capacity to levels that are compatible with current social distancing guidelines, therefore allowing operators to meet their financial obligations and trade themselves out of the crisis.

Working with the Scottish Government's Economic Advisors at OCEA (Office of Chief Economic Adviser), the team at CPT Scotland have refined the proposal and are now seeking enhanced data from all coach operators across the UK in order to further strengthen the proposal ahead of it's submission for consideration.

This proposal does not conflict with CPT's most recent asks of the UK Government and will be submitted directly to the UK Parliamentary Under-Secretary of Sport, Heritage and Tourism, Nigel Huddleston, by the Scottish Cabinet

Secretary, as well as by CPT UK, for consideration.

The survey below does require a significant volume of data; however, this information has been requested by Government economists and is therefore essential to the robustness of the proposal.

We strongly encourage as many CPT coach operator members (and non-members) as possible to complete the survey.

Due to the urgency of this request, please be advised that all submissions must be received

no later than 1700hrs on Friday 11 September 2020.

Please click on/follow the link below to start the survey.
