Van Drivers Walk Round Check - DVSA Guidance

25 May 2022

DVSA guidance – Walkaround Check for Vans

Roadworthiness is important for all vehicles.  With vans now included in the O-licence regime (2.5 – 3.5 tonnes when travelling internationally) a reminder for drivers to use the guide about the daily checks that van drivers should carry out to make sure that they're roadworthy.  These checks should be done as part of an overall maintenance programme and drivers trained to undertake them.

There are two videos on YouTube which drivers should watch to ensure the checks they undertake are thorough, and recorded via the maintenance system.
