Operator Licence Awareness Training

Providing insight and understanding into the requirements and undertakings under which the operator licence is granted.  The awareness course, delivered across two days, in both HGV and PSV, by verified Institute trainers with long served industry experience and knowledge aims to improve knowledge and understanding for continued compliance.

The course is aimed at those in the role of ‘responsible person’ (on restricted licences),as well as business owners, partners and directors to understand their legal responsibility to fulfil the requirements of the undertakings under which they operate.  Operational and administration staff will also benefit from course attendance and gain a clear understanding of the requirements of their roles.

Course attendance may also assist those embarking on the transport manager CPC qualification studies and examinations, providing a good grounding in regulations and requirements for continued studies.

Attendance on an Awareness course can be required to be undertaken following an instruction from appearance before the Traffic Commissioner, or licence application.

Institute training complies fully with the expectations of the Traffic Commissioners.  IoTA is a recognised as a professional body for the delivery of road transport training, and other services, by the Office of the Traffic Commissioner.
