12 Oct 2022

Exercise Phoenix was a multi-agency exercise involving government departments, local authorities, the oil and gas industry and contractor organisations to test the national contingency plan for responses to marine pollution from shipping and offshore installations.

The exercise took place in June 2022 to test the United Kingdom’s (UK) response to a major oil and gas industry incident within the UK Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ).
