HGV and PSV Inspection Manual Updates July 2025

From 1 July 2025, some changes will take effect in the HGV and PSV inspection manuals.

What changes are being made?

The changes are mainly formatting corrections and technical clarifications.

HGV-specific updates include:

•            Clarification on load index application to GB plated weights  

•            Clarification on requirements for vehicles with type-approved sideguards

•            Additions to corrosion assessment guidance 

PSV-specific updates include: 

•            Formatting corrections  

•            Additions to corrosion assessment guidance
